I hope this finds you well and looking forward to 2026. I want to thank everyone who helped with my re-election campaign this fall and for those voted for me. It was my 9th election and because of your support I will now be serving my 17th and 18th years on the City Council. It was a great campaign. Because of your help, I received 3,389 votes coming in second, and only a handful of votes behind the first- place winner. We reached thousands of voters with two mailings and many emails and raised enough money to cover all the campaign expenses. Because there was an open seat in the at-large race, candidates participated in more public forums than usual. While I stumbled a few times during some of the forums, overall. I think I performed generally well. In the next two years I look forward to advocating for affordable housing, expanded human services, achieving climate mitigation goals in our Climate and Energy Plan and completing the 5-year review of the Plan, building a new Senior Center, and beginning the revitalization of Watertown. I would also like to begin a discussion with my colleagues, the administration and you about building a recreation center. Of course, I will continue to do my best to respond to, and hopefully resolve, the day-to-day concerns you and other residents of Watertown bring to my attention.
